A Rainy Day in Grand Rapids
Tut tut it looks like rain in Grand Rapids! The next ten days call for rainy weather. Not what you were hoping for with your summer plans? We’re with you there. How can we make the most out of the next few days? On the bright side, forgetting to water the grass won’t be an issue! ;-)
One thing rainy days are good for is getting all those pesky things we hate having to do inside during the summer months. Getting back to all those emails in your inbox doesn’t seem very appealing on a gloomy day, alas, duty calls! Something as simple as a change of setting can help. There’s an abundance of coffee shops located all over Grand Rapids, each with their own unique character, so pack up that laptop and umbrella, and head over to the coffee spot of your choosing. Not sure where to go? Check our Grand Rapids guide to coffee culture it comes complete with a map and excellent descriptions of the great coffee shops throughout the city.
Perhaps you’ve been meaning to go to that museum everyone always talks about but never got around to going. Rainy days are a perfect excuse to go visit museums, and Grand Rapids is full of them. Some popular spots are the GRAM, the GR Public Museum and the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum, all located downtown.
Another option is watching a movie on the big screen! Theaters across the Grand Rapids metropolitan area have recently opened back up, which is perfect for rainy days. Studio Park is one of the newest additions to the downtown area and has a lot to offer, including a cinema, restaurants, shops, and more!
Don’t let some rain stop you from being productive and enjoying some time indoors. The sun WILL shine again.
