Before real estate, a long successful career in sales and as an entrepreneur taught Santiago that asking the right questions is the key to obtaining optimal results. Born in the Dominican Republic, Santiago emigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 3. After 12 years in Miami, his family chose Grand Rapids as their new home and they have now remained here for over 29 years. The promise of a good quality of life that West Michiganders have come to appreciate is what has drawn and kept Santiago here. Since then he has immersed himself in the rich culture that West Michigan has to offer. He enjoys exploring restaurants, neighborhoods and the unique diversity that has become a part of the city’s fabric. This enthusiasm is evident in how he serves his clientele.
More recently, Santiago was twice voted #1 Realtor in West Michigan in the 2018 and 2019 Revue Magazine’s “Best of the West” Reader Poll and 2nd place in 2020. He is one of America’s Top 1% Real Estate Agents® and consistently among the top 5% of Agents in West Michigan.
Since its inception, Santiago Properties has prioritized providing solid information in a way that is beautiful and easy to consume. As an experienced Graphic Designer this is Nicole’s forte. Nicole has a degree in Marketing from Grand Valley State University. Directly out of college Nicole quickly found herself attracted to the design side of marketing and through several years of practice and freelancing she perfected her craft and has since worked for companies both large and small designing ads, marketing pieces, logos and identities, publications, and more.
Nicole has a passion for aesthetics and her design eye carries over when it comes to selling homes. In addition to creating eye catching signage and digital ads for your home, she works closely with clients to help ensure that your home is photo and market ready and looking its best when it comes time to list.
When she’s not making things look better, you can find Nicole leading fitness classes at local kickboxing studio CKO Kickboxing.
A native of Grand Rapids, Mitch Stanitzek is a true “West Sider”. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Mitch was taught the value of hard work and how important it is to ensure your clients/customers always come first. As a kid, if he wasn’t helping at the well-known local family run business – taking notes on how his father managed everything, he could often be seen helping renovate and perform home repairs to his father’s various properties. All helping to instill his interest and passion for real estate and business at a young age.
After graduating West Catholic High School, Mitch attended Central Michigan University (CMU) where he received both his Bachelor’s in Marketing and Logistics Management and his Master’s in Business Administration. This education has given him experience in a variety of business fields including logistics management, accounting, financial analysis, marketing strategy, and data analysis. In addition, while studying at CMU,
Mitch started for 4 years for CMU’s football team, was named captain in his final year, and received multiple leadership and academic awards.
After working for some time in business and sales, Mitch obtained his license as a Real Estate Salesperson. You will never find him happier than when he is working in a team setting, whether it be with clients or with his fellow team members at Santiago Properties. He thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to help others in his community buy or sell their home. It can be a tough market out there but helping guide clients through some of the biggest financial decisions of their life while providing them with the best possible experience and service is what Mitch loves most.
